Position Summary: % Time Spent The Director of Human Resources, in consultation with the Executive Vice-President & General Manager, directs all activities pertaining to recruitment, staffing, termination, employee recognition, performance management/leadership development, employee relations and compensation. Responsibilities include all staff at WXXI and its affiliated organizations.
Responsibilities Include: 1. Oversees recruitment activities for all categories of 25% employees in consultation with the department managers and vice-presidents. Ensures EEO/FCC rules are followed and requirements are met. 2. Identifies, evaluates, recommends and implements training 20% initiatives, wellness programs, annual award recognition program, employee social events, and recruitment strategies. 3. Evaluates and recommends modifications to existing benefits, 20% compensation practices and employment policies and procedures development. 4. Provides professional human resource guidance to 20% staff. Present recommendations and suggestions to management for resolving employee issues. 5. Shared supervision of Administrative Assistant. 10% 6. Carry out special assignments as directed by the Executive 5% Vice-President & General Manager.
