Research forms the most important part of interviews, it is very important that you gather background knowledge about a particular company before arriving for the interview sessions. You need to keep your self a breast with the past and present performance of the company. This way you will be able to interact with the interviewer easily. You can gather knowledge about the organization, by login into their website. Do not hesitate to contact a prospective employer. You need to Google the company to decipher more information. Try to remain calm and composed while you are facing the interview board. Drive to the interview venue ahead of time so that you need not worry about arriving at the venue late. Carry all necessary credentials and documents in the interview venue. Try to spell name of your recruiter correctly, greet him with a smiling face and shake hands.

You must be sincerely interested in the job that you are applying for otherwise you won't be able to give in your best. As the old saying goes that people generally doesn't care about you, unless they know that you care. Once in the interview session you start showcasing your objectives and needs, it shows that you are genuinely interested in bringing about betterment of the organization. Do not fake, try to be sincere and do not apply for jobs that do not interest you. Try to be tactful and handle unwanted questions wisely.

Every interview is a learning experience. Try to learn from your experiences. Each interview that is well handled can help you to prepare for the next round. Since you radiate what ever you feel, try to be confident and positive. This is extremely important. Relax through the entire procedure of interview. Listen to the questions asked and try to answer appropriately, in a precise manner. If you find any question ambiguous, do not hesitate to seek clarifications. Think before you attempt to answer any interview questions. There is no hard and fast rule that you have to respond immediately. Some amount of thoughtfulness can be very effective.

Try to illustrate on major points. This will help the interviewer to know about the ways in which you can effectively contribute to the company's betterment. Talk about your previous experiences, where you made use of the strategies and techniques to solve a persisting problem. These instances can be memorable as well as entertaining which will enable you to stand out of the crowd.

Maintaining eye contact is very essential as this way you will be able to have an effective conversation. Decide about the ways in which you will handle awkward questions about your failures in the past, if any. You need to be honest and direct while attempting to answer those questions. Make sure that you are not blaming others for your own failure. Rather you should speak about what you learned from the past experiences.

Be careful before cracking any humor. Jokes if not implied in the right sense may backfire. Try and be yourself, instead of trying to impress the interviewer. Honesty is the best policy, try and be honest. Honesty consists of candor, truth and consistency. If the interviewer asks for an opinion, try to present your self in the finest understanding that is legitimate. You can frankly refuse to answer a question if you feel you won't be able to answer it accurately.

Try and have fun with the interview for you have nothing to lose. At the most you will be rejected. Since at this point of time you do not have any offer in your hand, the downside is just maintenance of status quo. Do not remain self conscious during the course of the interview, just be your self. Stop judging your self that will only increase your anxiety and stress. Just as the organization is testing you, even the interviewer has the right to be tested. You need to see to it that you are fitting well in the organization. Interview is said to be a joint venture between the interviewee and the interviewer. Whenever you appear for an interview, go with a positive mind but make sure you are prepared for the worst. Good luck in your job search!
