Pasadena, CA — As widespread job cuts attain a new high, Hound expressed concern over the increasing ruthlessness of the current job market. ''Yes, it is true that the job market has plunged into dire straits and it is worsening dramatically and consecutively for over 12 months now,'' says Harrison Barnes, the CEO of Hound. ''Hound is trying its best to increase the job count in its database, gleaning unadvertised jobs from more than 250,000 employer websites. The need of the hour is to accelerate that growth even more.''
According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics report, Rhode Island, Michigan, and California recorded the highest unemployment rates in US for the month. San Antonio and Texas posted 2,500 jobs and 7,300 jobs respectively, but could not drag the unemployment rate down. Meanwhile, US President George Bush approved a $17.4 billion to bail out the Auto Big Three companies out of the rut, although temporarily. However, the conditions Bush attached to the emergency loans were largely nonbinding and thus subject to change by the next president.
''About 1.9 million jobs have been lost since the start of the recession a year ago. The job market has definitely hit a new low this year, but it is useless to cry over spilt milk,'' says Harrison Barnes. ''Efforts are being made to make people aware about the source of jobs, because they do not know where to find them.''
''About 85% of the jobs are unadvertised and do not feature in any job board, newspaper classified or any publication. They can be found in each of the employer websites. Hound’s USP is that it focuses only on scouring jobs from several US companies belonging to every sector and industry. Hound is pure job search'' adds Barnes.
Hound does not allow any advertisers and is unfettered by any third party other than employers themselves. Hound only list jobs directly from employer websites. Presently, Hound boasts of more than 683,878 jobs, and all of them are exclusive and can be found in various employer websites only.
